A message to staff and students from the Vice-Chancellor about the easing of England’s current lockdown.
Earlier today the government announced the next steps in the gradual easing of England’s current lockdown.
Colleagues across the University and Colleges will be meeting to discuss the detailed advice published by the Department for Education, and the specific ways in which it applies to our students and staff. The guidance has numerous implications for the collegiate University’s operations – for students, for our teaching, for the management of University and college buildings. I will be communicating later this week about the new guidance and how it affects the collegiate University.
I realise this a period of uncertainty for students and staff. We hope to see all students back in Cambridge as soon as that can be safely achieved. In the meantime, I am grateful for your patience and your continuing support of current lockdown measures.
