After high level discussions, with the central university, UNITE is recommending that members that wish to take part in lateral flow testing request a kit from their managers.

It is notable that the latest Government guidelines say:
The government has also worked closely with providers to support those offering lateral flow devices (LFDs) to staff in parallel to students. HE providers are strongly encouraged to make twice weekly testing available for staff and to advise those staff that are required

to be physically present at work in the university, to take part in the testing programme.
